The surfing schools of Rio de Janeiro and Copacabana can be a great adventure on your vacation!
The outdoor adventure sports have recently evolved in Rio as more and more adventure travelers have decided to pick up Rio de Janeiro as their holiday destination looking for the fame or local surfing schools.
The adventure sport centers offering a range of exciting outdoor sports invite you to take advantage of Rio’s rocky mountains and white waters. You may opt for half day or full day wild adventures encompassing rock climbing, rafting, ocean kayaking, cycling, scuba diving, rappelling and of course surfing.
Depending on the sport you pick, the price range for adventure travel in Brazil can go up as to 80 USD, but you can be sure it’s worth it. Still, surfing remains the top preference in Rio as it has a number of good spots to catch the waves.
The surfing beaches closest to the main part of Rio are Copacabana and Arpoador Beach. Here waves vary between 1m and 3m (3 ft.-10 ft.)
