Rio Surf Tour is a company run by Katrina from New Zeland and Mauro from Brazil, both professional surfers, offering surfing lessons for all levels, beginner and advanced. Their company Rio Surf Tour is based in Macumba, with easy access to the fantastic wave breaks at the Recreio beaches. Transport will be arranged from your hotel / hostel be it in Copacabana, Ipanema and so on.

The Rio surf lessons will teach you the theory behind surfing, land training to get the movements right, before heading into the waves to try everything out for yourself. With the assistance of the surfing instructors of course.

The Rio Surfing School is tought in english, portuguese, spanish and french. You are guaranteed to stand during your first Rio surfing lesson!

Prices for surfing tours - Beginner / Novice

Group (2 people or more) - $65 BRL for each person Private x1 - $85 BRL (for a one on one with the instructor)

Free transport to all surfing lessons to a perfect wave break in one of Rio's beaches in the Macumba to Recreio areas from Camp

Rio Surf board Rentals - Soft and fibre glass boards

1 - 2 hrs = $25 BRL 2 - 4 hrs = $35 BRL Fill day = $45 BRL

Transport to Nature Reserve Beaches

Transport to Ilha Grande

10:00am - You are Picked up from your hostel or hotel within Rio City, then driven to Angra by Van = $50
Boat from Angra , The Van takes 4 - 9 people.
Surfboards are allowed with no extra cost.
Boat crossing = $10 (You pay this directly to the boat as fare. Leaves at 1:30pm
