Buses to Barra leaving from Downtown Rio: 175-Barra da Tijuca 179 – Recreio There are vans downtown as well. They leave from Graça Aranha street very often.
The first beach of Grumari is named Prainha, the beach for the surfers. Following the way in the direction of Guaratiba it becomes possible to get the tracks till (Praias do Meio (Meio Beach) Perigoso Beach, Buzios Beach, Funda Beach and Inferno Beach). In Grumari its possible to negotiate with fishermen and then they can take u to the beaches on their fishing boats
