The Surf'n Stay accomodation is run by the nice folks Katrina from New Zeland and Mauro from Brazil, both dedicated surfers with experience from around the world.

The Copacabana surfers paradise bed and breakfast,Surf n Stay, is located near 7 surfing beaches, with easy access by car, bicycle and hiking. The Rio Surf bus is making routes close by going out to Prainha or into the city every hour.

Surf n Stay also offer designer made surfing boards by Victor Vasconcelos, or used boards in their Rio surf shop. Other Equipment you can buy is - leaches, wax, board bags, boardies, tee shirts and kite surfing equipment.

How to get there:

- From Rio Novo Bus Station, Copacabana, Ipanema, Botafogo get on the Bus 175 – to Recreio, S-20 - to Recreio or a white Van to Recreio beach.

Exit: Rua 6w , then walk to 8w (you'll see a big Surf Shop on the corner called 8W surf shop) then turn right, walk 100m to the first road and turn right again. The Rio Surf n' Stay Hostel can be seen as the second house on the left number 1140 with a white coloured fence and brown gate. Press door bell for Entrance.

- From the international airport (GIG) jump on a bus (Frescão) to Barra Shopping ($10 reais) and another bus 15 km to Recreio (either175, 179 or S-20 Recreio). Get off at 6w anf follow the instructions as above. (Taxi all the way to Recreio is not reccommended, it will be quite costly.)

- A driver can be arranged by request, which will be cheaper than a taxi, but you don't have to go through all the hassle of changing busses.
